This House is on Fire
Well, not mine. But I can walk outside and see the fire. Air quality here is terrible.
We’re so civilized in Santa Barbara, we call it the Tea Fire. Actually, that has to do with where the fire started (above the “Tea House”). 70 mph wind gusts have been measured now. That would be 4 mph short of “hurricane strength” winds. So we have “tropical storm strength” winds. Unfortunately, no tropical storm rainfall to go with that. These are dry winds. Given that Westmont College is on fire, I can guarantee that I know many people who will have lost their homes tomorrow. The official number of homes lost is only 7, but we’ve seen many more than that on the news feed.
This is extremely depressing.
