Heh. I have a book chapter. Not quite as prestigious, I guess. Also, it’s academic, so no royalties even if anyone ever bought it.
I like to analyze data and I like to teach. If I did a book, it would probably be “A Cartoon Guide to Options Trading.” The problem is that most of the things I find interesting are generally turned into snake oil. Take options trading as an example. Most options traders get killed by theta (options lose their value over time). But books on options trading tend to advertise as get-rich-quick schemes. It would be difficult to sell a book in that environment if I were to advertise “You probably won’t get rich doing this, but I can show you how to use a spreadsheet to precisely manage your risk and let you choose your own profit scenarios.”
