Usually I like Bloomberg, but this is terrible reporting. The article highlights the target increase of 2.5 to 3 million jobs, but then goes on to discuss a budget that was revised down from $850 billion to the “$675 million [sic] to $775 billion” range. Now, without substantially changing the mix of programs, I’m not sure how reduced spending will increase jobs created. The link isn’t made in the article. I’m sure Obama’s team has a lot of different plan variations on the table. Maybe that’s part of it, but this reporter doesn’t even provide the necessary facts for the readers to draw their own conclusions.
When actual details emerge, I will look into this. Don’t bother reading the linked article. I just wanted to rant.
