I’ve seen a few videos and images of tent cities recently. In some of them I’ve seen some expensive tents. I think I’d rather be in this tent than some of the ones I’ve seen, though.
I’ve also recently read some articles proclaiming that a big difference between now and the Great Depression is that we won’t have any shantytowns in this recession. I think tent cities should count. There is certainly a big difference in degree. This tent is nicer than a few non-shantytown homes in the depression. Still, living out of a car or tent sucks.
